Dragon Hopper grid and cascade mechanics

On the 7x7 grid, Dragon Hopper is a cluster game with an Asian theme of dragons and lions. Matching symbols that touch horizontally or vertically form a cluster, and five or more of the same symbol win. Winning symbols collapse out of the grid, new symbols fall in, and each round keeps going while new clusters form.

Once the wins clear, a Free Spins Feature can start when Bonus symbols land anywhere on the grid, and it can retrigger. Dragon, Golden Dragon, Fire Cloud and Instant Prize symbols carry over from the base game into the feature, and a Bubble Feature runs throughout. The feature list also names Walking Wild, Money Collect, Mystery Symbol, Progressive Multiplier and Wild Multiplier.

Four ways to buy into the bonus

Each price is a fixed multiple of the bet, and the table converts it into money at the example top bet of A$10.

Play order

Dragon Hopper, from bet size to bonus

Unsure what a spin does next? Each step below shows what happens on the reels.

  1. A$0.10 floor, A$100 ceiling

Pick a bet from A$0.10 up to A$100 before you spin. Each spin on the 7x7 grid costs that bet, so A$1, A$2 and A$10 are example bets here.

  2. Watch the group clear and refill

Five or more matching symbols that touch horizontally or vertically form a winning cluster on the 7x7 grid. Then the winning symbols collapse and new ones fall in.

  3. When a cascade is still running

The features of Dragon Hopper, from Tumble and Walking Wild to Wild Multiplier and Progressive Multiplier, are listed for the base game grid, where each cascade keeps the grid moving.

  4. Three give six, five give twelve

Three or more Bonus Symbols land anywhere to start the Free Spins Feature. Three give 6 free spins, four give 9 and five give 12.

  5. Keep control of the total stake

Each spin uses the bet you chose, so set total stake and play length before the first spin. A session's result cannot be known in advance, so set the limit first.

Turn landed triggers into more rounds

The usual worry is not knowing when free spins start or what a bonus mode costs.

Count your Bonus symbols

Three or more Bonus symbols landing anywhere start the Free Spins Feature. Three give 6 free spins, four give 9, five give 12. The feature is retriggerable. Dragon, Golden Dragon, Fire Cloud and Instant Prize symbols carry over from the Base Game, and the Bubble Feature runs throughout.

What do the Mystic Symbols uncover?

On the grid, one or two Mystic Symbols sized 2x2, 3x3 or 4x4 reveal the symbols beneath them. Priced at 20x Base Bet, this mode guarantees a round with the Mystic Flare Feature. The round plays until no more wins are in view, and RTP is 96.24%.

How does this differ from 20x?

Instant Prize symbols land on the grid as part of a guaranteed Mystic Flare Feature round. The price here is 75x Base Bet. Its RTP is 96.38%.

Guaranteed entry to free spins

Random Bonus (Scatter) symbols land on the grid, and a minimum of 3 of them triggers the Free Spins Feature. At 100x Base Bet, this mode guarantees entry to that feature. RTP is 96.38%.

Can anyone tell when a winning session will arrive?

Symbols land at random across the 7x7 grid, so the Free Spins Feature may arrive on the next spin or after a long wait. How often it comes is not known in advance. The result of one session is random, whatever the RTP. An RTP figure describes the average return over a very large number of rounds, not what one visit will return.

The reels on the 7x7 grid show no RTP version, so the version in use is shown only in the game rules. Seven versions are listed for Dragon Hopper, and each one sets a different long-run return. Read the rules before you assume a figure applies to your session.

Clusters that cascade across the 7x7 grid can stack into a large round, yet the maximum win of Dragon Hopper, 10,000x Base Bet, is a ceiling reached very rarely. Nobody can predict whether a session will come near it, so treat the figure as a limit on the game and not as a target.

Know the costs

Check the purchase prices before you start

Skygate9 Casino sets out each rule before you wager, so decisions rest on facts.

Can I buy the bonus in Dragon Hopper?

Dragon Hopper has four bonus buys. The cheapest is the Mystic Flare Feature at 20 times the base bet, and the most expensive is the Random Bonus Symbol with Fire Cloud at 350 times. With the A$10 example bet, the cheapest costs A$200.

How do I get free spins in Dragon Hopper?

Three or more Bonus symbols landing anywhere on the grid start the Free Spins Feature. Three Bonus symbols give 6 free spins, four give 9 and five give 12. The feature can retrigger during play.

What is the minimum and maximum bet in Dragon Hopper?

The smallest bet is A$0.10 and the largest is A$100. The paytable and the example tables use A$1, A$2 and A$10 as sample stakes, not as limits. Every bonus buy price moves with the base bet you select.

What is the biggest win you can get in Dragon Hopper?

Each round pays at most 10,000 times the base bet. With the A$10 example bet, that is A$100,000, and at the A$100 maximum bet it reaches A$1,000,000.
